the way eye see it, is that, the Village Kid (Sifundo Sibisi) transited into being the Village King and is set to dominate consistently until forever more after a successful show at the Bat Centre on 27 February called Igobongo (African transitional ritual).
“we to a glimpse into the Village Kids’ subconscious and an intimate level” expressed Thoba Ndlovu, one of the artists who was performing alongside the Village King. the show had a very fitting turnout and turned into an intimate session.
Among the Artists whom performed to celebrate the auspicious occasion were:

“the show was very intimate, very successful, i enjoyed myself and that is enough” said the Village King after the show when he spoke to Upenyu Wakanaka team and couldn’t stop singing and dancing as he was rejoicing.
the show was hosted by our editor uZethembe “WildHeArt MountainLion” Sotobe and Langelihle Maniza Khuzwayo.
“SA are in touch with their culture and roots, since most of the music is so diluted by american influences and should be celebrated more” said Luce Lang who was at the BatCentre for the first time and is visiting our country from California United States of America.
At the same time, the students of the BatCentre Music School were graduating and were holding their ceremony at the BatCentre and MookLion and other painters were drawing a new mural outside he BatCentre with the sponsorship of the BatCentre and East Coast Radio.
